Ekkozone Records was founded by Danish percussionist Mathias Reumert with the aim of producing state-of-the-art recordings of contemporary music.

The name was borrowed from Per Nørgård’s percussion piece Echo-Zone.

In 2025, Ekkozone was acquired by First Inversion to become the leading label of the most cutting-edge contemporary music. Mathias Reumert continues as Artistic Director for the label.
